12 p.m. ET on Oct. 15, 2020 for a special event which will consist of lightning talks on contemporary issues in the collection and preservation of coins and manuscripts, followed by discussion and Q&A. The speakers, all Yale affiliates, will include Kevin Hoffman (History), Emily Pearce Seigerman (Numismatics, YUAG), Benjamin Hellings (Numismatics, YUAG), Barbara A. Shailor (Classics), and Carson Koepke (Medieval Studies). Topics to be discussed include responsibly building and using collections (institutional and private) for teaching purposes, curating and preserving existing collections, and reconstructing disaggregated coin hoards and manuscripts.
