As you know, because of Covid-19, we interrupted our readings for Fordham Reads Dante. This year, we have resolved to resume them in the online modality given the existing concerns regarding safety. We hope this format will be convenient for all, and we hope you will come and share a virtual space where we can read and talk about Dante’s Commedia.
We would like to encourage those among you who are interested in introducing a canto or in reading it in Italian to send your proposal in writing to [email protected] or [email protected].
Finally, we are very pleased to announce our opening event on Sep 21, 2021: What's a Dante Theme Park? by Randy Boyagoda (University of Toronto). The Zoom link will be sent upon registration (see attached flyer). For RSVP and more information please contact [email protected]
Attached you also find the FDR calendar of events. It does not include all the major events and initiatives on Dante in New York, but it includes the New York Dante Project / Global Dante, which will take place in October. Please mark your calendar for the FDR readings on Inferno XVIII, October 18 (C. Cullen S.J) and on Inferno XIX, November 15 (R. Herzman)
