The Society for the Study of Women in the Renaissance

September 05, 2018

SSWR meets on the third Thursday of the month at the CUNY Graduate Center, Fifth Avenue and 34 Street, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with wine and cheese. The presentation begins at 6:15. After the meeting we gather with the speaker for dinner at a nearby restaurant; everyone is invited to join us.

Our meetings are structured to encourage lively discussion. To that end, speakers are asked to provide readings in advance of the meeting, if they wish, and to be informal in their presentation. Often they speak on work in progress. Announcements and readings are sent to members by email, but all are welcome at our presentations.

Dues, at $25.00 a year ($5 for students), help defray travel expenses for out-of-town speakers and finance our wine and cheese. Please send your dues check and membership form to SSWR, CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10016. Make your check out to Susan O’Malley. (Put SSWR on the memo line.)
