Renaissance Quarterly Copyeditors

The Renaissance Society of America seeks highly skilled copyeditors to work on the Society’s journal, Renaissance Quarterly(University of Chicago Press), on a freelance basis. RQ is the leading American journal of Renaissance studies, encouraging connections between different scholarly approaches to bring together material spanning the period from 1300 to 1700. Candidates should have experience working on academic publications and be well versed in the Chicago Manual of Style. Postgraduate work in the humanities and knowledge of the field of early modern studies a major plus. Graduate students with editorial experience especially encouraged to apply. Work will involve both copyediting and proofreading of articles and book reviews, and will be consistent (ten to thirteen hours per week), collaborative (though can be done remotely), and potentially ongoing.
