Do you study the late ancient or medieval world? Are you interested in meeting other graduate students who study the same period and in hearing about their work? Are you looking for feedback to develop your own scholarship? Then the Late Antique, Medieval, and Byzantine (LAMB) workshop is the right place for you! The LAMB workshop is now accepting paper proposals for the Fall Semester 2021.
The LAMB workshop brings together graduate students who study and research any region in periods from 300-1500 from across departments and disciplines. It offers us an opportunity to present, discuss, and strengthen our research with colleagues from within and outside our fields.
We invite graduate students to present their works in progress, including research papers, extracts from dissertations, or conference presentations. The workshop takes place twice a month, alternating between lunchtime and evening meetings. A pre-circulated paper is made available for secure download on our website ten days before each meeting. Sessions begin with a summary, comments, and suggestions from a discussant, and consist primarily of a discussion open to all attendees. Participants are encouraged to attend the other sessions of the workshop throughout the semester.
If you would like to present a paper in the Fall Semester of 2021, please send an email to Lucia Waldschuetz at [email protected] by July 30, 2021 with your
