Please save the date for the second event in the new series of roundtable discussions which interrogates the inherent biases in archival practices, past and present.

Kinohi Nishikawa (English) and Emma Sarconi (Special Collections), founders and organizers of the Archival Silences Working Group, will highlight work that engages and redresses the question of archival silences, exploring lost voices and sharing ways in which we can ensure ethical practices in the future.

In "Decolonizing Knowledges," speakers will reflect on knowledge hierarchies and how the exclusion of certain forms of expression from institutional archives has produced gaps in our understanding of the past. In response to these gaps, panelists discuss the concept of decolonization in relation to historical memory and systems of oppression.
