Susan L. Boynton (Columbia) is starting a collaboration with Anne Baud (Université Lyon 2 et laboratoire ArAr, UMR 5138), who has been excavating at Cluny for 25 years. Professor Baud invites a graduate student from Columbia to participate in the excavations at Cluny, with free room and board. Airfare to France will be covered if it cannot be funded by the home department.
The next campaign will be September 10-November 20, 2018. The team will be excavating the buildings linking the infirmary and the conventual buildings.
